About The NEW Green Book Project 2029
Building now so persons of color are not left without a chair for the conversations on policy, personnel, and training.
Washington routinely allows access to those who can open doors either for themselves or have them opened by others. The NEW Green Book Project strives to create a space for those who may not have ready access to such levers of power and allow them the opportunity to pull up a seat to the table.
It is not enough for some of our community to get access. If we do not all succeed, then we may all fail. If we are going to create meaningful federal change to rescue our neglected, forgotten, and overlooked communities, then we need a pipeline of candidates to assume positions in federal government, a recalibration in public policy that puts meaningful and achievable policy goals in place, and finally training to assist those who will enact this change but may not how or what they need to in order to gain access.
This is the goal of the 2029 NEW Green Book Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on three pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an 2029 administration that will meet the needs of persons of color but moreover give them a seat to decide the direction: a staffing, policy, and training.
The 2029 NEW Green Book Presidential Transition Project has leaned on organizations from in and around the civil rights movement to execute this mission through an advisory panel of partners.
